Sarah Jones, LM, CPM
Sarah grew up in China as a missionary kid, her parents run an orphanage there. She became a Certified Professional Midwife in August 2006 with the North American Registry of Midwives. Shortly after, she returned to China to practice midwifery to become one of two foreign midwives in Beijing, China.
When Sarah was 19 she attended a friend’s birth who had a midwife delivery. She knew, from that day, that she would spend her life growing close to her clients and their families, welcoming new life into the world and offering support to the families she works with. Becoming a midwife was at the very core of her heart.
Sarah did a year and a half midwifery internship in the Philippines. Working just outside Manilla, Sarah received more training than she ever imagined. To support the strong need, Sarah and her colleagues lived at the clinic assisting women with their personal health and delivering babies. It was here that she quickly developed her skills and strong confidence while confronting a wide range of circumstances, many of which were considered very high risk due to malnutrition and poor living conditions. Within her year and a half tenure in the Philippines, Sarah delivered over 160 babies. This experience afforded her the skills and confidence that most programs are unable to offer midwives. Sarah then returned to the United States to take her CPM board examinations and became officially certified with NARM, North American Registry of Midwives.
Sarah and her husband Drew met in China. They got married in Texas in 2008 and now have three beautiful children, two boys and a girl. Their first born, a daughter, was born at home, 8 months later they brought their 15 month old son home from Ethiopia, and a year and a half after that Sarah gave birth to their youngest son at home.
In 2014 Sarah completed her Bachelors in Natural Health through the University of Natural Medicine with an emphasis on Nutrition to better assist her clients throughout their pregnancies and midwifery care.
With over 10 years of midwife experience and having helped over 500 babies come into the world, Sarah has a deep passion for helping families and providing exceptional, personalized care to women. She would love the opportunity to meet you and discuss ways that she can make your pregnancy and delivery a healthy, happy and heartfelt experience.
